FAQ — vessel performance
Is apparent slip the same as true slip?
This tool uses ordered vs observed speed as an apparent slip proxy for noon screening. True slip needs wake fraction / propeller data from trials.
What is a good performance index here?
Scores above ~85–90% typically mean speed is close to ordered with moderate slip. Always compare to shop trial / sea trial baselines in Actinium-sm.
How does this link to Fuel & CII centers?
Lower FOC/day and better speed attainment reduce CO₂ and support CII. Cross-link noon analytics → fuel → CII → PMS.
